In 2017, Munro committed to playing for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash Competition and the Australian T20 league. Colin made his debut there against the Sydney Thunder. He was previously a member of the Kolkata Knight Riders squad during the 2016 Indian Premier League season (IPL).
