Commentry
That is it from this match. The action continues as on the 30th of this month. India will take on England while Australia will take on Netherlands. Both games start at 2 pm IST (8.30 am GMT). Join us early for the build up. Cheers!
Litton Das says they are a good team. Adds in the World Cup, they have to perform well. Reckons it was a pretty good wicket to bat and even 300 would have been chaseable.
Just like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh got off to a good start but after losing their openers, the upcoming batters hold the innings well. Mehidy Hasan batted at 3 and scored fifty while Mushfiqur Rahim showed his experience to chase it down. Sri Lanka were not upto the mark and will hope to get their plans right in the next warm-up match.
Sri Lanka opted to bat and got off to a brilliant start with Perera and Nissanka going strong but lost it completely in the middle phase as the middle order failed to hold on to the innings. Dhananjaya de Silva did gave some hope but on this flat track, Sri Lanka needed something around 290. Bangladesh bowled well, the spinners especially as Mahedi Hasan took four wickets.
A well calculated chase from Bangladesh. They have shown great character throughout the match. A good start before the World Cup and that too without Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman playing the match.
